During the period when I undertook this daily watercolor painting challenge, I was busy, but I still found time for this exciting new routine.
I started each morning by taping down my paper, setting up my watercolor tools, and then… waiting for inspiration to strike—just kidding!
Even when I wasn’t feeling inspired, I made sure to keep my hands moving.
I painted bushes, plants, and landscapes, constantly exploring color combinations and creating new brushstrokes.

I didn’t set any strict themes for my paintings.
Some were inspired by my travel photos or free image references, while others captured the seasonal scenery or moments from daily life.
Examples of this include staying in a friend’s attic to care for her cat while she traveled, spotting wild rabbit tracks on a small hill near my home, and watching an elderly woman feed seagulls by the shore.

Although I don’t have as much time now to complete a small painting every day, I still cherish that period of focus and creative drive.
I never expected that creating such small artworks daily could bring me so much joy and fulfillment.

That’s why I highly recommend giving a daily painting challenge a try —it might help you develop your painting routine and creative pattern!
